About Ben Wieman
Hi, I’m Ben Wieman. I come from 5 generations of farmers, and was raised on a dairy farm west of Arlington. My brother still farms on property that has been in my family since 1886. The economic conditions that are negatively affecting our farmers and rural communities will be a legislative priority for me. Small farms are struggling with rising operational costs, unfair competition from agriculture corporations, and falling crop/livestock prices. Rural communities deserve better, and I am committed to working for economic policies that will make a brighter future. I will be your voice for Minnesota’s Legislative House District 17B, and will put the “F” back in the DFL!
–We need AFFORDABLE healthcare, fuel prices, and consumer goods.
-We need to break up monopolies and give bargaining power back to our farmers
–We need to prioritize our communities and land over corporate profits
-We need to properly fund our schools and pay our teachers
–We need fair taxation regulations that are based on the ability to pay
-We need legislators who vote for constituents – not just for the party
